The Sisters Of Mercy were formed
in 1980 by Gary Marx and Andrew Eldritch. They have a huge pagan
/ wiccan following, but when asked "Are The Sisters Spiritually
minded?" they replied "No. We've read theology, just
as we've read humanist philosophy and political economics, because
we're sentient beings, but we have no spiritual agenda whatsoever."
The Sisters are currently working on a new album and are touring
throughout February 2001.
